VOID/BREAKER Zones and Bosses: Zone 05 and Voidweaver
Overview of VOID/BREAKER zones, bosses, and enemies including the Zone 05 Ascension update, Voidweaver, Ironclad, Voidout, and Voltaic.

What zones and bosses are in VOID/BREAKER?

VOID/BREAKER is built around numbered zones, and Zone 05 arrived in the Ascension Major Update with a new boss called Voidweaver. Official sources document Zone 05 and describe Zone 06 as where the story concludes, along with several named enemies, but they do not publish a complete zone-by-zone boss list or any official boss strategy. Specific counter-tactics below therefore come either from third-party impressions or are marked as undocumented.
Zone progression and story structure
The developer's own roadmap post frames the zones as the story's progression: it says "the story has been building since day one," that Zone 05 is "the next step toward the conclusion," and that Zone 06 lands in the second half of 2026, "and that's where it all wraps up" (roadmap announcement). The count of zones at any given build, and which bosses sit at the end of zones other than Zone 05, are not officially documented.
- Zone 05: added in the Ascension Major Update (Update 4), with a new boss, new enemies and a new weapon.
- Zone 06: announced for the second half of 2026, described by the developer as where the story wraps up.
Zone 05 and the Ascension update
In the update's launch post, developer Daniel Stubbington describes Zone 05 as bringing "New zone, new boss, new enemies," names VOIDWEAVER as the new boss, and says he is "really happy with how this fight turned out" (Ascension announcement). The same post lists a sniper rifle, four new weapon chassis to unlock alongside it, and a refresh of fire mode mods across all weapons.
Voidweaver boss overview
Voidweaver's attack patterns, health, phases and rewards are not officially documented. Official material identifies it as the Zone 05 boss and mentions Joe Ford's music for the fight, alongside the developer's satisfaction with how it turned out. Commentary beyond that comes from third parties. Rogueliker describes the broader flow of play in Early Access — enemies that chase relentlessly, push onto rooftops, and force constant movement — but its impressions predate or do not cover the Voidweaver fight itself, so treat any specific Voidweaver advice as unconfirmed.
New enemies: Ironclad, Voidout and Voltaic
The Ascension post introduces Ironclad and Voidout as "two new enemies" that "force you to rethink your approach, especially deeper into runs," and a new enemy variant, Voltaic, whose EMPs "disable parts of your kit." The post names "Frozen Rangers" in passing as a dangerous example (Ascension announcement). Stats, resistances and spawn rules for any of these are not officially documented.
Tips for boss fights and enemy counters
Official material describes mechanics rather than tactics; the counter-play below is either inferred from those descriptions or attributed.
- Build around the fight. The Ascension post says fire mode mods were retuned so single-fire can turn automatic weapons into rifles and burst modes can strengthen SMGs — a reason to re-check fire mode mods before a boss.
- Watch for EMP. Voltaic enemies disable parts of your kit, per the official post, so plan a fallback that does not rely on a single tool.
- Use destruction deliberately. According to Rogueliker, the game is built around collapsing structures onto enemies to stun them, and stunned enemies are a key source of healing and ammo — an argument for keeping environmental destruction in your boss plan.
Exact boss counters for Voidweaver remain undocumented, and readers should check patch notes for changes.
